Sotetsu Hotel Management will open Sotetsu Fresa Inn Kitakami Station on October 1.
The 14-story building will offer a total of 167 guest rooms, each equipped with a television featuring apps for online video streaming services. Smartphones can also be used as room keys.
The hotel will feature a large public bath and a relaxation area equipped with massage chairs. It will also introduce a building-wide water purification system, allowing guests to use “SOU BI SUI” water throughout the hotel, including at guest room washbasins and showers, the large public bath showers, and wash areas in the changing rooms. Payments for checkout and other transactions will be cashless only. Breakfast will feature a menu showcasing ingredients from Iwate Prefecture and the Tohoku region, as well as local flavors.
The hotel is a one-minute walk from Kitakami Station on JR East’s Tohoku Shinkansen, Tohoku Main Line, and Kitakami Line.
