INFINI Travel Information will release INFINI NDC Connect, which supports the next-generation airline ticket distribution standard, NDC (New Distribution Capability), on October 27.
INFINI NDC Connect is the collective name for NDC services provided by INFINI Travel Information for the Japanese market. Based on the NDC capabilities of global GDS Sabre, it has been developed with a focus on convenience for the Japanese market. In addition to API connectivity through INFINI HOST-LINK, key products will enable seamless booking of NDC content using workflows similar to those for conventional EDIFACT bookings.
At the same time, the company will begin offering a new NDC booking tool, INFINI NDC PLUS, for travel agencies. Integrated with INFINI LINX PLUS, it features a fully graphical UI that enables intuitive booking of NDC content. It offers search capabilities that comprehensively cover conventional EDIFACT content as well as low-cost carriers (LCCs). Users can narrow down results using detailed criteria, such as round-trip or one-way itineraries and fare types, compare and review the best airfares for diverse customer needs, and make bookings with flexible combinations through a one-stop process.
As a Japanese-developed GDS, it includes features designed with user convenience in mind, such as Japanese-language operational guidance and translation functions for complex fare rules. The frequently requested quotation creation function also supports NDC and can be used at any time. Drawing on 35 years of expertise in developing airline ticket booking systems in Japan, the company offers numerous functions tailored to the business practices and operational processes unique to Japan’s travel industry.
The service will launch with 10 airlines available for NDC bookings, with further expansion planned. The company also plans to hold INFINI NDC seminars for existing users.
