Hong Kong Airlines will launch a new Hong Kong–Urumqi route on August 29.
The airline will operate two round trips per week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, using Airbus A330 aircraft. Flight time will be 4 hours 40 minutes from Hong Kong and 3 hours 15 minutes from Urumqi.
Urumqi, the capital of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, is a core city of the Silk Road Economic Belt and an international commercial hub also known as the “center of Asia” on the Eurasian continent. Along with magnificent natural attractions such as the Tian Shan Mountains and Heavenly Lake of Tian Shan, it offers a wide range of tourist destinations, including the Xinjiang International Grand Bazaar.
