Asiana Airlines will change seat numbering across its aircraft from September 19.
Ahead of its integration with Korean Air on December 17, the airline will revise its seat numbering to align with Korean Air. On Airbus A380 aircraft, the first row of Economy Class seats on the lower deck will be numbered Row 28. On other aircraft, Business Class seats will be renumbered starting from Row 7, and Economy Class seats from Row 28. Letter assignments will also be changed to follow Korean Air’s convention of assigning letters consecutively from A. For example, the Economy Class cabin on Airbus A350 aircraft, currently arranged in a 3-3-3 configuration as seats A, B and C; D, E and G; and H, J and K, will be changed to A, B and C; D, E and F; and G, H and J.
The airline said the seat numbering changes will not result in any changes to seat locations.
