AirAsia X will suspend its Kuala Lumpur–Chongqing route effective October 23.
It currently operates four weekly round trips, departing Kuala Lumpur on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and departing Chongqing on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Airbus A330 aircraft are used on the route. Flight time is 4 hours and 45 minutes in both directions.
The move is part of a network optimization strategy to support the long-term sustainability of its network. Passengers with reservations will be offered refunds or rebooking options.
