Tokyo Station Hotel will host its “Traveling Afternoon Tea” in collaboration with London-based tea brand NEWBY on 13 dates from September 4 through October 26.
The theme for September and October is South Asia. The menu features four savory items made with spices and herbs inspired by India and Nepal, including “Smoked Salmon and Cucumber Sandwich,” “Sautéed Red Shrimp with Cumin,” and “Coconut Verrine,” as well as six sweets such as “Mango Mousse” and “Coconut Verrine.” Guests can enjoy pairings with six varieties of tea selected by NEWBY, including Black Tropical and Uva. In particular, the original “Silk & Steam” tea, created jointly with NEWBY, combines a smoky Lapsang Souchong base with the fragrance of roses. The afternoon tea will be themed around the Middle East in November and December, followed by the United Kingdom in January and February 2027.
The event will be held at the Atrium guest lounge. Seatings are available at 1:00 p.m. or 1:30 p.m., with a two-hour time limit. Capacity is limited to 30 guests per day, and advance reservations are required. The price is 11,000 yen per person, or 10,000 yen with advance online payment. JR Hotel Members can enjoy a two-and-a-half-hour seating for 10,000 yen. Tax and service charge are included.
