Dubai International Airport Handles 31.5 Million Passengers in First Half of 2026
As a Gold Partner of the 2027 International Horticultural Expo (GREEN×EXPO 2027), to be held in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, from March 19, 2027, the JAL Group will sponsor the “Momentum-Building Project” and the “Venue Operations Project.”
As part of its efforts to build momentum for the event, JAL will introduce a specially painted aircraft from November. The aircraft is planned to feature a design evoking the dynamism of the Earth, colorfully adorned with flowers and greenery. Specific launch dates and the operating period will be announced on a dedicated website. Drinks will be served on board in specially designed cups.
JAL will introduce the attractions of the venue and the sustainable future envisioned by GREEN×EXPO 2027 through its in-flight magazine SKYWARD, personal in-flight entertainment screens, and front cabin screens. It will also launch a dedicated page on its website, titled “Let’s Go to GREEN×EXPO 2027 with JAL,” providing information on admission tickets and Yokohama, the host city.
Through “Mile de Experience,” a service that allows customers to redeem miles for experiences, customers will be able to choose admission tickets for the International Horticultural Expo. The redemption period begins on August 31. The required number of miles is 2,500 miles per ticket for redemptions made by March 18, 2027, and 3,000 miles per ticket for redemptions made on or after March 19.
As part of its venue operations initiatives, JAL will provide “hospitality training” and “accessibility training” for people involved in the International Horticultural Expo, including volunteers and staff, drawing on the hospitality and expertise of its cabin attendants.
