
Japan Tourism Agency Launches Kyushu Recovery Support Discount
East Nippon Expressway Company (NEXCO East) and the Kanto Regional Development Bureau of Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism will open the section of the Metropolitan Inter-City Expressway (Ken-O Expressway) between Daiei Junction (JCT) and Tako Interchange (IC) at 3:00 p.m. on November 7.
The newly opened section will span 9.1 kilometers from Daiei JCT in Yoshioka, Narita City, Chiba Prefecture, to Tako IC in Kita, Tako Town, Katori District, Chiba Prefecture. It will initially operate with two lanes. Ken-O Narita IC and Tako IC will be newly constructed within the section.
Prior to the opening, an opening ceremony will be held at Narita Airport Shinonome Park Golf Course, along with a ceremony near the Ken-O Narita IC tollgate. Due to venue limitations, these events will not be open to the general public. The event details and opening time may change depending on weather conditions and other factors.
Construction will also continue on the 9.4-kilometer section between Tako IC and Matsuoyokoshiba IC.
