Saga Prefecture will begin sales of the “Kyushu Recovery Support Discount Saga Campaign,” part of the government’s “Kyushu Recovery Support Discount” travel assistance program, starting sequentially from September 24.
The Kyushu Recovery Support Discount applies to travel and accommodation products for trips of one night or more in the Kyushu region, offering a 50% discount on travel and accommodation costs. Kumamoto and Kagoshima prefectures, where cancellations have had a major impact on tourism, will offer a 60% discount.
The maximum discount is ¥20,000 per night for accommodation-only products and transportation-inclusive accommodation travel products; ¥30,000 for transportation-inclusive accommodation travel products of two nights or more; and ¥35,000 for multi-destination tour products covering accommodations in two or more prefectures.
The discount is available to residents of Japan and international visitors to Japan. Eligible stays are from October 1 through December 25, with checkout the following day. Sales will begin once preparations are complete, from September 24 on online booking websites and from October 2 through travel agencies.
