H.I.S. (HIS) will begin selling travel packages for Oita Prefecture under the “Kyushu Recovery Support Discount” travel assistance program at noon on October 9.
Only eligible tours that combine airfare and accommodation are available, and a coupon code must be entered. The eligible stay period runs from October 1 through December 25, with checkout on the following day.
The Kyushu Recovery Support Discount applies to travel and accommodation products in Japan’s Kyushu region that include at least one overnight stay, offering a 50% discount on travel and accommodation costs. Kumamoto and Kagoshima prefectures, where cancellations have had a significant impact on tourism, offer a 60% discount. The maximum discount is 20,000 yen per night for accommodation-only products and transportation-inclusive accommodation travel products; 30,000 yen for transportation-inclusive accommodation travel products of two nights or more; and 35,000 yen for multi-prefecture circuit travel products covering accommodation in two or more prefectures.
