Kyoritsu Maintenance opened La Vista Minami Aso in Kumamoto Prefecture on October 2.
The five-story building has 90 entirely non-smoking guest rooms. The Nordic-style main building offers 12 La Vista Double rooms, 51 La Vista View Bath Twin rooms, 1 Universal Twin room, and 1 La Vista Suite. The Japanese-style annex offers 1 Japanese-Western Triple room with an open-air bath, 8 Japanese-Western Quad rooms with open-air baths, and 8 Japanese-Western Triple rooms. The cottages offer 4 Triple rooms, 2 Quad rooms, 1 Five-Bed room, and 1 Six-Bed room.
Facilities include a large natural hot-spring bath with an open-air bath and sauna, a complimentary reservation-only private sauna, three complimentary private baths available without reservations, a souvenir shop, karaoke rooms, and a kids’ area. The Aso Five Peaks can be viewed from the windows. Dinner features course meals using ingredients such as Akaushi beef from Kumamoto Prefecture, while breakfast is a Japanese and Western buffet with approximately 70 dishes, including local specialties such as karashi renkon and dago-jiru soup. Rates start at JPY 32,000 per person, based on two guests sharing a View Bath Twin room, including dinner and breakfast and tax.
The property is approximately 40 minutes by car from Aso Kumamoto Airport and approximately 70 minutes by car from Kumamoto Station.
