Conrad Tokyo will offer its “Art of Autumn Afternoon Tea” from October 1 through November 30.
Featuring autumn flavors such as Shine Muscat grapes, pears, purple sweet potatoes, and figs, the afternoon tea includes sweets and savory items inspired by antique jewelry, cameos, and wax seals. The five types of sweets include purple sweet potato and maple mousse decorated with a cameo-inspired chocolate piece, jelly infused with fragrant osmanthus and filled with fresh Shine Muscat grapes, and red grape and fig macarons. Also available is a Mont Blanc cone, featuring freshly piped Mont Blanc cream in a waffle cone with candied chestnuts and cookie crunch hidden inside. Three savory items will be offered, including a terrine of scallop mousse and sautéed mushrooms, and a sausage and purple cabbage sandwich. In addition to the “Ube Hojicha Latte,” made with purple yam from the Philippines, guests can enjoy as much as they like from around 20 beverage options, including Kusmi Tea and coffee. Plans including a welcome glass of champagne and items such as a lobster and Port wine cheese roll are also available.
The event will be held at TwentyEight. It is served from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in two-hour seatings. Prices start at 8,500 yen per person on weekdays and 9,200 yen on weekends and public holidays; the plan including a Halloween Conrad Bear costs 10,500 yen. Tax and service charge are included.
