
Japanese Embassy Issues Alert Over Operations at Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport
The Embassy of Japan in Saudi Arabia has issued an alert following another attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, the capital.
According to reports, King Khalid International Airport appears to have come under attack again on the afternoon of October 10. Although the information remains unconfirmed, there may have been casualties. Airport authorities have asked people at the airport to leave, and many flights also appear to have been canceled.
The embassy is urging people to strictly avoid using or approaching the airport for the time being unless absolutely necessary. Those who need to use the airport are asked to carefully check the latest situation in advance.
On the same day, King Khalid International Airport announced on X that passengers heading to the airport should contact their airline directly to check their flight status. It also stated that, depending on developments, further airspace closures and flight cancellations could occur without prior notice.
