United Airlines to Operate Special Tokyo/Narita–Las Vegas Flights for CES 2027
Oriental Land and Oriental Land Cruises have named Japan’s first Disney cruise ship the “Disney Imagination.”
The ship is intended to be filled with the power of “imagination,” which lies at the heart of Disney storytelling, inviting guests of all generations to enjoy their voyage while experiencing Disney’s imagination. The stern will feature Ariel from Disney’s The Little Mermaid, depicted painting the ship’s name alongside Sebastian, the court composer.
On board, guests will be offered original productions in a theater with more than 1,300 seats, character shows on an outdoor deck stage, programs throughout the ship, and meet-and-greets with Disney characters in costumes unique to Disney cruises.
For dining, guests will be able to enjoy three main dining restaurants, each with a different theme and menu, on a rotating daily basis. The ship will also feature around 30 food and beverage venues, including cafes and bars. Other facilities will include shops selling ship-exclusive merchandise, a dedicated children’s area offering programs for kids, and adults-only areas.
The Disney Cruise Line Japan cruise business is positioned as a key growth pillar for the Oriental Land Group, following its theme park and hotel businesses.
Tokyo International Cruise Terminal will serve as the primary departure and arrival port, with service scheduled to begin in the latter half of fiscal 2028 (spring 2029).
