Kinki Nippon Tourist will begin sales of the Fukuoka Prefecture portion of the “Kyushu Reconstruction Support Discount” travel assistance program at 2:00 p.m. on October 14.
The program applies to both tour packages and accommodation-only bookings. Tour packages are available only for departures from the Kansai region. The travel period runs from October 1 through December 15, with checkout by the following day.
The Kyushu Reconstruction Support Discount applies to travel and accommodation products of one night or more in the Kyushu region of Japan, offering a 50% discount on travel and accommodation costs. Kumamoto and Kagoshima prefectures, where cancellations have had a particularly significant impact on tourism, offer a 60% discount. Maximum discounts are ¥20,000 per night for accommodation-only products and transportation-inclusive accommodation travel products; ¥30,000 for transportation-inclusive accommodation travel products of two nights or more; and ¥35,000 for multi-prefecture circuit travel products covering accommodations in two or more prefectures. Day trips, day-use stays, business trips paid for with public funds, business use, and plans that include highly convertible gift certificates are not eligible.
