Orion Tour will begin selling travel packages under the Kyushu Reconstruction Support Discount program for Japan’s Kumamoto, Fukuoka and Nagasaki prefectures at 2 p.m. on October 15.
Eligible products are designated tours. The accommodation period runs from October 27 through December 25 (checkout the following day), or through December 15 (checkout the following day) for Fukuoka Prefecture only.
The Kyushu Reconstruction Support Discount program applies to travel and accommodation products in Japan’s Kyushu region that include at least one overnight stay, offering a 50% discount on travel and accommodation costs. Kumamoto and Kagoshima prefectures, where cancellations have had a major impact on tourism, receive a 60% discount. Maximum discounts are 20,000 yen per night for accommodation-only products and transportation-inclusive accommodation travel products; 30,000 yen for transportation-inclusive accommodation travel products of two or more nights; and 35,000 yen for multi-prefecture circuit travel products covering accommodation in two or more prefectures. Day trips, day-use stays, publicly funded business trips, business use, and plans that include highly convertible gift certificates are not eligible.
