JAL Offers Flexible Ticket Changes and Refunds Ahead of Typhoon No. 30
Arkia Israeli Airlines has suspended ticket sales for its Tokyo/Narita–Tel Aviv route.
The airline had initially planned to operate two round trips per week starting today, October 25. At the time of the announcement, the flights were to be operated by Hi Fly Malta, but the plan was subsequently changed to operations by Universal Sky Carrier and GullivAir.
According to reports by the local newspaper The Jerusalem Post and others, the launch was to be postponed because the airline was unable to obtain approval from Japanese authorities for wet-lease operations. Initially, flights through November 5 were to be canceled.
Ticket sales for the route have been suspended on the official website, and the schedule has also been removed from GDS systems.
