Etihad Airways launched its Abu Dhabi–Luxembourg route on October 21.
The airline operates four weekly round trips, on Mondays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. It uses an Airbus A321LR aircraft configured with 160 seats: two First Suites, 14 Business Class seats and 144 Economy Class seats. Flight time is 7 hours 40 minutes from Abu Dhabi and 6 hours 45 minutes from Luxembourg.
Although the airline had initially planned to operate three weekly round trips from October 29, it brought forward the launch and increased the frequency. The service responds to growing demand from travelers in Luxembourg, the Benelux region, France and Germany. It is the first time a Middle Eastern airline has launched service to Luxembourg.
