The train will depart Tokyo Station at 9:44 p.m., Ueno Station at 9:50 p.m., and Omiya Station at 10:09 p.m. It will arrive at Ichinoseki Station at 11:57 p.m. and depart at 6:00 a.m. on December 28. The train will arrive at Akita Station earlier than Komachi No. 1, the first train departing Tokyo Station. In addition, passengers can transfer at Morioka Station to Hayate No. 93, departing Morioka Station at 6:54 a.m. and arriving at Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto Station at 8:58 a.m., allowing for longer stays in the Akita, Aomori, and Hakodate areas.
“Amanecer,” the train’s name, means “dawn” in Spanish. This will be the first Shinkansen service operated by JR East to depart at night and arrive the following morning. An E6 Series train will be used.
Track and facility maintenance work may be carried out while the train is stopped, and noise and vibrations from this work may be heard inside the train. Interior lights will remain on at all times.
The travel package fare between Tokyo and Akita stations is ¥22,000 for adults and ¥15,000 for elementary school students and younger, including tax, for the reserved ordinary-car seating plan. The Green Car plan costs ¥29,000, including tax. Only window seats will be sold in all cars. The reserved ordinary-car seating plan will also include a Family Car Plan designed for passengers traveling with children.
Participants will receive amenities in an original E6 Series-themed drawstring pouch, as well as a ¥500 gift certificate valid at NewDays convenience stores.
