Air Tahiti Nui will introduce in-flight Wi-Fi service using Starlink, the low-Earth-orbit satellite communications service provided by SpaceX.
The service will launch in 2027 and will be offered free of charge in all cabin classes.
Starlink’s low-Earth-orbit satellite communications service is characterized by high-speed, low-latency connectivity. Airlines that have already introduced Starlink include Japan’s ZIPAIR Tokyo, Qatar Airways, Hawaiian Airlines, and United Airlines.
