ANA and IHG Hotels & Resorts to Launch New Partnership Program in 2027
Tokyo’s Taito Ward issued business improvement orders on November 5 to operators that had failed to submit the periodic accommodation performance reports required under Japan’s Private Lodging Business Act.
The orders cover eight facilities operated by four businesses. The reports for February, April, and June of this year had not been submitted, covering the period from December 2025 through May of this year.
Since October 1, Taito Ward has strengthened measures to ensure the proper operation of private lodging accommodations, including restrictions on weekday operations at newly registered properties and the launch of a complaint reporting service through the Taito Private Lodging Call Center.
The ward will continue monitoring and providing guidance, and will take strict action in accordance with laws and regulations against operators that fail to make improvements.
