Rakuten Card will raise the overseas transaction fee starting April 1.
Currently, the fee is 1.60% for JCB, 1.63% for Visa and Mastercard, and 2.00% for American Express. After the revision, the fee will be set at 2.20% for all brands.
The start date for the new charge rate will not always match the credit card usage date.
