Tobu Railway will extend the operation of the temporary “Sakura Train” from April 3rd to 7th.
This train allows passengers to enjoy the cherry blossoms in full bloom along the Sumida River, viewing them from the Sumida River Bridge. The vehicle used for this service will be the “Skytree Train” (4 cars), and it can be boarded with just a ticket.
The additional operation days are from April 3rd to 7th, for a total of 4 days. The operation had already been scheduled from March 20th to 31st. The operating section is between Asakusa and Tokyo Skytree station, and the travel time, usually 3 minutes, will be extended to 6 minutes. There will be four trips per day, departing from Asakusa Station at 1:15 pm, 1:35 pm, 2:15 pm, and 4:35 pm.
