Hirakawa Trading Co., Ltd. is set to rebrand and reopen the samana hotel Yakushima on April 26.
This comes after acquiring and rebranding the Hotel Yakushima from JR Kyushu in June 2023, formerly known as JR Hotel Yakushima. The guest rooms now include two additional hot spring suites with open-air baths directly fed from the source and a renovation of 38 standard twin rooms, with some newly created rooms equipped with sofa beds that can accommodate up to four people. All rooms are now furnished with the bath amenity ‘Noevir Gifts from the Tokara Sea.’
The buffet dining now features a live kitchen and a large bench has been added to the terrace. Additionally, ‘The Traveler Lounge,’ which is available from check-in through after dinner, has been newly established. During bar time, the lounge offers wine, Yakushima exclusive whiskey, and original cocktails.
