RIMOWA held a launch event in Seoul, South Korea, for the latest colors of its ‘Essential Collection’.
The newly announced colors are ‘Mint’ and ‘Papaya’, and the event showcased not only the new colored suitcases but also a large object inspired by Papaya. These will be available for sale in Japan starting May 2.
The global campaign features ambassadors such as Rosé from BLACKPINK, Lewis Hamilton, Rowoon, WONWOO and S.Coups from SEVENTEEN, Baekhyun and Xiumin from EXO, Junkyu and HARUTO from TREASURE, along with Thai actor Mile, attracting over 400 guests from both within Japan and abroad.
RIMOWA, a premium suitcase brand, was founded in Cologne, Germany, in 1989. It was the pioneer in using aluminium in 1937 and polycarbonate in 2000 as materials for suitcases. Most of its manufacturing is still done in Cologne to this day. As of January 2017, it has become part of the LVMH group.
