fav hospitality group announced the rebranding and opening of “FAV LUX Hida Takayama” on April 5th.
This is a rebrand of the former FAV HOTEL Hida Takayama EAST. While retaining the stylish design and concept of enjoying with a large group of people from the conventional FAV HOTEL, FAV LUX is a high-class brand with more enhanced in-house facilities and amenities. It becomes the second establishment following the FAV LUX Nagasaki opened in February.
The building is an eight-story structure, with guest rooms including a total of 10 types such as Sauna Suites and Universal Rooms with Herbal Bonny, totaling 53 rooms. The sauna included in the “Sauna Suite” creates a space reminiscent of the mountains of Takayama, and can be used by up to 8 people. Amenities include high-quality 100% merino wool sauna hats, alongside swimsuits and bathrobes provided.
The in-house sauna features a hybrid type with Finnish-style using artificial stone called Kerkes stone, and Morris-style with heaters installed under the benches. The shared private sauna, accommodating up to 6 people, offers two types: the chic and serene “Black Sauna”, and the bright and warm “White Sauna” with a balcony for outdoor air bathing.
The “Platinum Tea Room” extends its business hours and adds terrace seating. Besides the signature classic pancakes, it offers dishes made with local ingredients. During bar time, a variety of alcoholic beverages and snacks are available.
Access is about a 5-minute walk from JR Takayama Station.
