Keisei Electric Railway Renames Ichikawa-Mama Station to ‘Ichikawamama Station’ in Celebration of Mother’s Day
Keisei Electric Railway will change the station sign of Ichikawa-Mama Station to ‘Ichikawamama Station’ from April 27 to May 12.
The change is in celebration of Mother’s Day on May 12, inspired by the station’s pronunciation, ‘Ichikawamama,’ and will feature a design adorned with carnations. Additionally, Keisei Bus will also change the signboard of the Ichikawamama Station bus stop to reflect the new station name.
Moreover, a ‘Ichikawamama Station Commemorative Ticket’ will be sold at the main 20 stations on the Keisei Line. Priced at 390 yen, it allows travel from Ichikawamama Station within the 390 yen fare zone.
Along with the change of the station sign, the initiative will include the display of family portraits collected from nearby kindergartens inside the ticket gates, an exhibition of carnations provided by JA Ichikawa, and breast cancer awareness activities in cooperation with the Japan Cancer Society.
