Japan Airlines (JAL) will increase flights on the Tokyo/Haneda-Dallas/Fort Worth route to one round trip per day using the Airbus A350-1000 starting August 15.
The deployment of the A350-1000 on this route began on April 17, with alternate day operations.
The A350-1000 succeeds the Boeing 777-300ER as JAL’s new international flagship aircraft. The cabin configuration offers 239 seats across four classes: 6 seats in First Class in a “1-1-1” arrangement, 54 seats in Business Class in a “1-2-1” layout, 24 seats in Premium Economy in a “2-4-2” configuration, and 155 seats in Economy Class in a “3-3-3” setup. Both First Class and Business Class feature JAL’s first-ever private suites with doors. In-flight entertainment (IFE) systems include 4K resolution monitors for all classes and allow for Bluetooth connectivity with wireless headphones.
JAL plans to operate a fleet of eight A350-1000 aircraft within this fiscal year and intends to deploy the aircraft on the Tokyo/Haneda-New York JL4/3 flights and Tokyo/Haneda-London/Heathrow JL43/44 flights in the future.
