Solaseed Air has announced its financial results for the fiscal year ending March 2024, reporting a net profit of 1.553 billion yen.
The company’s operating revenue was 49.942 billion yen (an increase of 29% from the previous fiscal year), operating expenses were 48.172 billion yen (up 23%), and operating profit was 1.769 billion yen (compared to an operating loss of 465 million yen in the previous fiscal year), achieving a return to operating profitability.
Demand remained strong due to the easing of movement restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic and the nationwide travel support, despite increased operating expenses due to flight cancellations caused by typhoons, rising crude oil prices, and the depreciation of the yen. The company recorded its highest-ever sales. While the number of seats offered decreased by 6%, the number of paying passengers increased by 11.7% to 2,151,820 seats. The seat occupancy rate was 70.5%, showing a 10% increase from the same period of the previous year.
For the fiscal year ending March 2025, the company is forecasting operating revenue of 54.7 billion yen, operating profit of 2.3 billion yen, and ordinary profit of 1.8 billion yen.
