EVA Air Adopts Panasonic Avionics’ ‘Astrova’
EVA Air has announced the additional adoption of Panasonic Avionics’ in-flight entertainment and connectivity systems. The announcement was made at the Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) currently being held in Hamburg, Germany.
The new adoption covers 18 Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, 14 existing Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, 17 Airbus A321 aircraft, and 5 Boeing 787-9 aircraft, totaling 54 aircraft.
On the Airbus A350-1000 and Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, Panasonic’s in-flight entertainment system ‘Astrova’, alongside the Marketplace e-commerce solution and the ‘Arc’ integrated moving map, will be installed. These aircraft will feature high-resolution 4K monitors and an audio system that supports Bluetooth connectivity.
The Airbus A321 aircraft will be equipped with the eXW wireless IFE solution, and the Boeing 787-9 aircraft will adopt both NEXT and eX3 as their connectivity services. The NEXT and X series come with Full HD monitors equipped with capacitive touch displays and handsets.
