JR East Cross Station has reopened NewDays Iidabashi East Exit, on June 20th after renovation.
It is an unmanned store that has introduced the “TTG-SENSE” unmanned payment system developed by TOUCH TO GO. This NewDays unmanned store is the 27th of its kind and the first to introduce scanless payment. The system automatically recognizes ‘what’ and ‘how many’ items a customer picks up through cameras and sensors installed in the store. Customers can then check the list of items they wish to purchase on a touch panel in the payment area and complete the payment using a transportation IC card, credit card, or QR code payment, allowing them to exit the store. Automation extends the store’s operating hours to year-round, 24/7 availability.
