Delta Air Lines is introducing Delta Premium Select on its New York/John F. Kennedy to Los Angeles route.
The service will be launched on September 10th, targeting four flights using Boeing 767 aircraft with four classes of service. This decision was made in response to the growing demand for premium travel experiences. It marks the first time Delta Premium Select is offered on transcontinental routes in the Americas.
Delta Premium Select, which started service in 2017, is featured on most trans-Pacific and trans-Atlantic routes, as well as some routes to Latin America. The seats are spacious with footrests and legrests, offering pre-bookable superior meals, noise-canceling headphones, memory foam pillows, and amenities. Passengers will also enjoy Sky Priority services.
Moreover, SkyMiles Medallion members are eligible for complimentary upgrades. Diamond and Platinum Medallion members can upgrade 120 hours before departure, Gold Medallion members 72 hours before, and Silver Medallion members 24 hours before. Same-day upgrades to Delta One are also available.
Additionally, high-speed free Wi-Fi provided by T-Mobile will be available on all flights on this route by the end of September.
