Cathay Pacific is set to relocate its operations base at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York.
The airline will move to Terminal 6 when it commences operations at five gates in early 2026, following an agreement with JFK Millennium Partners responsible for the terminal’s construction and operation.
Additionally, a new lounge spanning approximately 10,000 square feet will be opened. This will be the airline’s second lounge in the United States, following one at San Francisco International Airport.
Cathay Pacific first began service to New York via Vancouver in 1996. Currently, from Terminal 8, it operates three round trips daily and will celebrate its 20th anniversary of service on July 1.
The under-construction Terminal 6 will feature 10 gates, nine of which will accommodate wide-body aircraft. Besides the arrival lounge, up to five airline lounges can be accommodated.
