The Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has updated its travel advisories for Israel and the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
The advisory level for the Gaza Strip and its border areas has been raised to Level 4 (Evacuation Recommended), while most other regions, excluding the Lebanon border area and the West Bank, have been elevated to Level 2 (Non-Essential Travel Discouraged).
The Lebanon border area remains at Level 3 (Travel Suspension Recommended), and the West Bank continues to be at Level 2.
The advisory level was raised due to ongoing large-scale attacks by the Israeli military on the Gaza Strip, where numerous rockets have been fired into Israeli territory. In many areas around the Gaza Strip, armed militants have infiltrated and engaged in combat with Israeli security forces. Rockets have also landed in areas like Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, making the situation extremely fluid, including impacts on air travel.
