Mori Trust to Open ‘1 Hotel Tokyo’ in Akasaka’s Tokyo World Gate by Fall 2025
Hoshino Resorts to Reopen OMO7 Kochi with a Cultural Immersion Concept on June 13, 2024
Hoshino Resorts is set to reopen OMO7 Kochi by Hoshino Resorts on June 13, 2024.
The concept of the renovation is “Cozy Gatherings, Come Nightfall!” Through its meals, guest rooms, and nightly Yosakoi festival performances, the hotel aims to offer guests an immersive experience of Kochi’s culture.
The number of guest rooms will be altered, and nine types totaling 133 rooms will be available, including a concept room named “Utage Suite” themed around Kochi’s banquet culture, known as “Okyaku.” The public bath will be revamped to feature indoor and open-air baths that reflect the lush nature of Kochi Prefecture.
At “OMO Dining,” breakfast options such as tuna bowl and French toast made with yuzu and other citrus fruits will be offered. For dinner, guests can enjoy local Kochi specialties like “Katsuo no Tataki” prepared right before their eyes, as well as parfaits inspired by the traditional sweet “Imo-kenpi.”
Common features under the “OMO” brand include the public space “OMO Base,” and a “Neighborhood Map,” compiled by Kochi-loving staff, offering unique local tips. A new guide map, “Go-KINJO,” featuring not just food and interiors but also guided tours and local information, will be introduced.
OMO7 Kochi by Hoshino Resorts was originally the Hotel Nikko Kochi Asahi Royal and underwent a rebranding in April of this year. The hotel will be closed for renovations from October 5. Booking for stays will commence on January 11, 2024.
