Suntory is set to re-open the Yamazaki Distillery on November 1st.
Celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2023, the distillery has been renewed to further enhance its quality and appeal. The entrance area has been landscaped with flora native to the surrounding areas of Shimamoto Town and Oyamazaki Town. Updates have also been made to the Yamazaki Whiskey Museum, including new exhibits and a revamped tasting lounge.
The updated “Yamazaki Distillery Craftsmanship Tour” takes 80 minutes and costs 3,000 yen (tax included). In addition to touring the manufacturing site, participants can enjoy tastings of “Suntory Single Malt Whiskey Yamazaki,” “Malt Whiskey Original Liquor,” and “Yamazaki Highball.” The “Yamazaki Distillery Craftsmanship Tour Prestige” is an extended version lasting 120 minutes, with a participation fee of 10,000 yen (tax included). It offers an expanded touring area and an increased variety of tastings.
