Akita Prefecture’s Railways Offer ‘Akita Holiday Pass’ for Unlimited One-day Rides
JR East will be releasing the ‘Akita Holiday Pass’ and the digital version ‘Akita Holiday Pass Digital’ that allows for unlimited one-day travel on most railway lines in Akita Prefecture.
In addition to the JR lines within the free area, customers can freely board the ordinary and rapid trains in ordinary cars on the entire Akita Inland Traverse Railway Line and the entire Yuri Highlands Railway Line for a day. If an additional ticket is purchased, one can also ride the Akita Shinkansen, limited express, and express trains, as well as the trains with reserved seats only.
Prices are 2,440 yen for adults, 1,220 yen for children, and 1,880 yen for adult Holiday Club members. There is no Holiday Club member pricing for the digital version. The pass is available for use on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from November 3rd to February 25th, 2024. It can be used daily from December 23rd to January 8th, 2024. They are sold at Midori no Madoguchi ticket offices, reserved seat ticket machines, Ekinanbi Concierges, and major travel agencies within the free area.
