AIRDO Operates First Sunrise Flights of the Year, Circles Mount Fuji and Runs from Haneda to Chitose

AIRDO (エア・ドゥ) will carry out a special flight circling Mount Fuji and a sunrise flight from Tokyo/Haneda to Sapporo/Chitose on January 1st, 2024.

The ‘New Year’s Day Haneda Airport Departure to New Chitose Airport Sunrise Flight’ will depart Haneda at 6:00 am and arrive in Chitose at 8:00 am. With a flight time of 2 hours, the plane will fly longer than regular flights to observe the first sunrise near Tateyama City. Passengers will receive a boarding certificate and a calendar, and a special ‘Osechi-style bento box’ will be served onboard. Ticket sales for the flight have started on the AIRDO website since November 21st at 5:00 pm.

The ‘New Year’s Day Sunrise Viewing! Mount Fuji Circumnavigation Flight Day Tour’ departs Haneda at 5:45 am and returns at 7:45 am. The flight, lasting for 2 hours, takes passengers on a tour around Mount Fuji to view the sunrise. In addition to the boarding certificate and calendar, travelers will also receive a red-and-white Manju as a gift, and the special ‘Osechi-style bento box’ will be offered onboard. Both experiences will utilize the Boeing 737-700 aircraft.
