ZIPAIR Tokyo has launched its mobile check-in service.
From 24 hours to 90 minutes before departure, passengers can check in using their smartphones or tablet devices via a URL provided in an email received 24 hours prior to departure or through the flight details on the website. Passport information needs to be scanned using the device’s camera. Once check-in is complete, a mobile boarding pass will be displayed, allowing direct access to the security checkpoint and boarding gate.
Starting November 20, the service will be available for flights from Tokyo/Narita to Singapore, and from November 21 for flights to Seoul/Incheon and Manila. Eligible flights are those departing the following day. The service is set to be gradually rolled out to other routes as well.
People who have pre-selected emergency exit seats, which require airport staff verification, or those who have unpaid services within their reservation, will not be eligible for mobile check-in.
