Tokyu Bus will significantly increase the fares for its Low-Cost Bus (LCB) service running between Shibuya Station and Narita Airport from December 26.
Single journey fares will rise from the current 1,900 yen for adults and 950 yen for children to 2,500 yen for adults and 1,250 yen for children. Furthermore, the advance booking payment discount for departures from Shibuya Station will be discontinued.
The service was launched in August 2022 with three round trips per day. In December of the same year, it was reduced to two round trips per day. The schedule, which had included morning, noon, and evening times, was changed so that buses to Narita Airport depart at 2:50 PM and 3:50 PM, while services to the Shibuya area leave at 10:10 AM and 12:10 PM, resulting in decreased convenience.
