Shiga Prefecture will be implementing the nationwide travel support campaign ‘Now is the Time to Travel Shiga!’ from November 27 to December 26.
The campaign is aimed at domestic residents traveling and staying within the prefecture, offering a 20% discount on travel expenses, and providing ‘regional coupons’ that can be used at souvenir shops and tourist facilities. These coupons are valued at 2,000 yen per person per night on weekdays, and 1,000 yen per person per night on holidays. An additional 1,000 yen is added for stays costing 5,000 yen or more per person per night. The maximum discount per person per night is 3,000 yen. Eligible travel expenses must be at least 3,000 yen per person per night on weekdays and 2,000 yen per person per night on holidays.
Reservations must be made directly with the accommodation facilities, and it is necessary to issue a coupon through ‘STAYNAVI’. To take advantage of the offer, a document verifying the individual’s identity and residence is required. The campaign is applicable for up to seven consecutive nights per reservation.
