Kintetsu Corporation is set to start service with its 9820 and 5820 series trains wrapped in designs featuring ‘Myaku Myaku,’ the official mascot of the Osaka-Kansai World Expo, beginning November 30.
In celebration of 500 days until the opening of the 2025 Japan International Exposition, the initiative aims to promote visitor attraction. One 6-car trainset each of the 9820 and 5820 series will be decorated, operating on routes such as between Kintetsu Nara and Kobe Sannomiya stations, and between Osaka Uehommachi and Ise Nakagawa stations.
