HIS Opens ‘Kyoto Tourist Information Center’
H.I.S. (HIS) has opened the ‘Kyoto Tourist Information Center’ on November 27th.
Since 2015, HIS has been managing the ‘Harajuku Tourist Information Center’ in Tokyo’s Harajuku area. With the new Kyoto center, HIS aims to support the increasing number of inbound tourists and to serve as a touchpoint for the growing individual travel market.
The Kyoto Tourist Information Center offers tourist information, hotel and optional tour reservations, as well as sales of souvenirs and SIM cards. It also works to mitigate the overtourism issue by promoting proper manners for Kyoto tourism and collaborates with local governments to encourage travelers to visit regions beyond Kyoto.
Located on the B1 floor of the Miyako Hotel Kyoto Hachijo, the center operates from 9 AM to 6 PM, and is closed on Sundays and national holidays. The staff of two can assist in English, Chinese, Russian, and Indonesian.
