JR West Re-releases ‘Osaka Dice Ticket’ for Previous Lottery Entrants
JR West will re-release the ‘Osaka Dice Ticket’ exclusively through their online reservation service ‘e5489’ for those who were not selected in the previous lottery.
The ticket’s travel destination is determined by a dice roll, offering round-trip fares and fees to one of four stations: Kanazawa, Kure, Izumo City, or Hakata, including specific benefits for each destination. For those heading to Kure, a stopover in Hiroshima is possible, and for those to Izumo City, a stopover in Yonago can be made. The probabilities are one-third for Kanazawa and Kure, two-ninths for Izumo City, and one-ninth for Hakata.
Prices are 5,000 yen for departures from Monday to Thursday, and 8,000 yen for departures from Friday to Sunday and on public holidays. An entry fee of 4,500 yen is required, and the price difference must be paid after entering. A maximum of 26,000 pairs of tickets will be sold.
The pre-lottery application period is from December 1 to December 14, and an entry is necessary after winning the lottery. The entry period is from December 26 to January 31, 2024, the sales period is from December 26 to February 28, 2024, and the ticket is valid for two consecutive days from January 8 to February 28, 2024. There is no issuance for trips starting between February 9 to 11 and 22 to 25. Up to three tickets can be purchased at the same time.
