Nihon Kotsu Raises Pickup and Drop-off Charges for Taxis in Tokyo’s 23 Wards and Mitaka-Musashino Cities Starting November 20
Nihon Kotsu has revised its taxi pickup and drop-off charge in Tokyo’s 23 wards, and the cities of Musashino and Mitaka, starting November 20.
For telephone-based dispatch orders, the charge has been increased from 300 yen to 500 yen per order, while for orders made through the taxi dispatch app ‘GO’, the price has risen from 300 yen to 400 yen per order. In addition, when using the ‘GO’ taxi dispatch app, a separate app booking fee of 100 yen will be charged.
The purpose of this price revision is to increase wages through higher sales by drivers, to prevent employee turnover, to encourage new hires, to ensure the availability of dispatch operators for telephone orders, and to improve overall wages.
