Aviation authorities from Japan and Saudi Arabia have agreed to expand the framework for flight operations between the two countries.
In addition to the previously permitted routes to Chubu Centrair International Airport and Kansai International Airport, a framework has been set up to allow flights between Narita International Airport and Saudi Arabia. Currently, there are no regular flights operating between Japan and Saudi Arabia.
The discussion took place on December 4th with the attendance of Yasushi Takahashi, Director of the International Aviation Division from the Japanese side, and Ali Rajab, Deputy Director General of the General Authority of Civil Aviation from the Saudi Arabian side.
