Tokai Kisen has started selling ‘Mystery Tickets’ that allow you to visit one of five islands.
Departing from Takeshiba Port in Tokyo at 10 p.m. and returning the next evening at 7 p.m. (or 7:45 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays), this overnight day trip is limited to six nights. The destination, which can be one of Oshima, Toshima, Niijima, Shikinejima, or Kozushima, will be disclosed at the counter on the day of departure. Stay duration varies by destination, from a maximum of 8.5 hours to a minimum of 30 minutes. The fare class and vessel are limited to large passenger ships’ second-class Japanese-style rooms.
The offer period is from December 5th to 28th, excluding Thursdays and Fridays. The price is 4,000 yen for adults and 2,000 yen for children. Reservations are required by the day before.
