Hawaiian Airlines is set to open the Sacramento-Lihue-Kona route and the Salt Lake City-Honolulu route.
The Salt Lake City-Honolulu route begins on May 15, 2024, with one round trip per day. The Lihue-Sacramento line starts on the 24th with four round trips per week, and the Kona-Sacramento line starts on the 25th with three round trips per week. An Airbus A321neo will be used for these routes with a cabin configuration of 16 Premium Cabin seats, 45 Extra Comfort seats, and 128 Economy Class seats, a total of 189 seats.
The state of Utah, where Salt Lake City is located, is one of the states with the highest number of Pacific Islander residents in the United States, with about 60,000 residing there. Salt Lake City will be the 16th destination in the continental United States served by Hawaiian Airlines.
The two new Sacramento routes will complement the existing connections to Honolulu and Kahului.
