American Express will implement changes to its ‘Airport Transfer Service’ starting February 1, 2024.
This service arranges vehicles from affiliated taxi companies for travelers to and from the airport at a fixed, discounted rate during departure and return of overseas trips. It is available only to cardholders who purchase round-trip international airline tickets or overseas package tours departing from Japan through the HIS American Express Travel Desk, Platinum Concierge Desk, Premium Service Desk, or Platinum Secretary Service using eligible cards.
The service will be discontinued for Gold, Marriott Bonvoy Amex Premium, ANA Amex Gold, Delta SkyMiles Amex Gold, and Business Gold cards. For Platinum, Business Platinum, ANA Amex Premium, and Corporate Platinum cards, the service will be discontinued for usage under 1 million yen. If usage exceeds 1 million yen, one-way transfers will remain free and unlimited in terms of usage frequency.
There are no other changes to the service content. Reservations that are already completed before the stated date will still be accommodated.
