Tokaido-Sanyo Shinkansen Adds N700S with Business Booths
JR Central and JR West are introducing additional N700S Shinkansen trains that are equipped with business booths on the Tokaido-Sanyo Shinkansen line.
The business booths will mainly be available on the direct “Nozomi” services connecting the Tokaido and Sanyo lines, operating a total of 28 regular trains. The down services include “Nozomi 1, 7, 11, 15, 23, 69, 35, 72, 45, 47, 55, 59, and 271” and “Hikari 663” and “Kodama 717”, while the up services will see the business booth-equipped trains on “Nozomi 74, 4, 10, 14, 28, 34, 40, 44, 54, and 62” as well as “Hikari 638” and “Kodama 738”.
Besides the business booths, six seats are also available for wheelchair users. There will be days when the trains with business booths operate as special services and, occasionally, other models might be used unexpectedly.
